An archive of weekly reflections — practices, prayers, and quiet dispatches from the path.
Sitting with the complexity of it all…and how we find a middle way,
to walk this time with hope,
compassion and a widened capacity to feel and Be.
Modern culture imprints a structure of isolation,
a narrative of numbness, distraction and disconnect.
This has infiltrated collective mental health, fluency of feeling and the widespread inability to trust in the intelligence of the body.
And yet, we are here.
Many of us are staring into the vastness of existence…
Breathing,
listening,
gathering tools and teachings that may fuel an activation of remembrance, for ourselves and others.
We're walking the questions,
making our art, speaking to the gaps we perceive,
and discovering the quiet solutions, that we choose each day.
The extremity of life now calls us to break out of the blanket of numbness, the epidemic of fragmentation,
enticing us to greet reality with a new sense of depth and
self-responsibility.
Maybe for many of us, the collective intensity, is calling us home into being,
so we can live out and participate in the evolutionary process of humanity,
consciously.
If we allow it, if we say yes,
the challenges we are facing,
the provocation
is informing and nourishing this natural process.
Life will create initiatory experiences to activate this.
Personally and collectively.
Life calls to us, to challenge the forgetfulness and to return to harmony.
In this remembrance, there is the choice to participate,
to re-vitalise the perception and nourish the renewal of innocence, trust and belonging.
First within ourselves.
When this open, accepting approach is established
in our relationship to reality, then the potential for deep transformation and a lived sustainable impact is realised.
When we can greet the full spectrum of the human experience from a place of steadiness and centring,
then we become a pillar of clarity in a wild sea of chaos…
and our small actions,
DO, feed the whole.
What is the movement of wealth in our life?
In a time where the distribution of wealth is strangely obscene, and the mainstream culture is running towards more success, more doing, more accumulation…we've been pondering,
what is TRUE wealth?
Wealth as an energy that we inhabit, a blessing that we open to, a joy that we choose.
Wealth as a living thread that inspires us to work with our hands,
to create,
to see challenge as an educative force that teaches us how to live well in community...
to live well in our own skin.
The wealth of the moment.
The spacious, silence of dawn and birdsong.
The tenderness in the eyes of another, reflecting the richness of being human.
A wealth that vibrates, as a current of giving and receiving.
The teacher student relationship,
the elder sharing with the young one…
the reciprocal alignment that keeps a vital curiosity,
an open attention, a thirst for knowledge and experience….ALIVE.
What if the shift in perception is not only to look at the gift,
not only to focus on the vessel itself,
but to look beyond the surface of reality
and sense the current that moves through the vessel.
Maybe the wealth, the aliveness, the joy of living
creeps through the intelligence the water brings forth,
the movement, the current of the river,
the frequency we choose to align with.
We are a returning, to a frequency and inheritance that lives outside of thinking.
In what ever place our 2 feet land,
the staff of our spinal column,
a returning to the belonging on earth.
An undercurrent that lives in the DNA of all our ancestors,
therefore within us all.
It is the mixture of all races that makes us common.
And it is the spiritual relationship to the land as we go back to all of our origins,
that is the whisper of the serpent in the breeze.
The etymology of origin - oriri, something that is invisible that makes itself present.
Like the morning star...like the bubbling of a spring at the source waters.
These are the times that we are living. A return to the roots of ALL civilisations.
A return to the invisible current that is the web,
the 4 powers.
The earth, water, fire and air.
How do we hold the dignity and embodied movement
that restores true reciprocity?
That supports the existential itch of "the something that is missing..."
The health lies in relationship, in presence, in a purpose that is emerging,
in walking the questions of how to live well,
in connection to land, community and self.
SO that the emerging culture that we are fortifying
has a deep pedagogy, a way of learning & teaching...
An education that is reshaping
what is common to all, what is fortifying for health and what architectures can hold community.
So that we move beyond the mainstream current of self indulgence,
and into the collective intelligence,
where elders inform reflection, where the secret altars
inform the steps required...the listening required.
To be an arrow of value for the generations, and of all our relations.
Thanks for being here. This is a hand.
From love, but with firmness...to be engaged with the dignified stance.
Not only healing...not needing more growth.
But standing in the human dignity, that lies within.
We are here for that journey.
The life long questions, the life long education of being human together.
Lets talk about 'not knowing' the answer right now...
Let's settle the anxious current that not knowing brings.
Let's challenge the projection of what you want...the expectation of how it should happen, and open to the curious movement with reality...
Walking with the questions.
Moving with the questions.
Allowing the emergence of the solutions to happen in ripe timing.
How do we observe the culture we are?
How do we see something clearly without placing our judgement upon it?
How do we step into our dignity and look for the subtle movements that bring health to a community?
What are the real conversations that are needed?
How do we work with the elephant in the room...
SO that the reflections can come...not with a punch in the face,
but with the confluence of education and energy we hold.
A skillful action.
A subtle movement of our energy
that can seduce a moment of reflection, integration and positive action.
So we don't become the red cross and the saviour.
SO that we don't revert back to the religious conditioning of right and wrong or good and bad.
Instead we open a SPACE for repair to occur.
Even within protocol and regulation,
we can break the rules.
When we smell the fragrance of dignity and possibility
there, within the space of listening
there, within the education that the water brings...
The connecter of all,
the movement in between borders and man made boundaries.
We are reorganising the culture,
for the health of the generations.
Be gentle & firm in the seeing & serving, for the greater health.
We are walking as a civilisation within the atmosphere of fear,
weaved together through deep interconnectivity and 7 degrees of separation.
It's not personal or even communal,
but the times are shaking us.
The reactivity that dwells underneath the surface, the old systems collapsing,
and we inquire,
how do we walk with the questions without caving in?
How do we hold duality, two opposing opinions without dispersing the energy...without making someone else wrong...without gossiping?
If we allow it, this provocation, this conflict we feel and see and witness in the culture is the education that is carving us to walk with a
new level of dignity.
It is the curriculum of our own evolution.
What are the practises...what is the movement of the word...what is the connection to land...what is the reciprocity that we move with that supports the health of the individual and community?
The health lives outside of isolation.
Health dwells in the diversity of conversation required to widen our perspective.
Be gentle with yourself,
let people in.
ask for support,
keep opening yourself to new pathways...
step by step.
We are walking, with faith in the secrets of our own hearts, and of the communal health that we know is possible.
Meet that moment where the tightening comes...
The bubbling and boiling of the blood.
And the rush takes over,
and then the mind believes what it has created.
Attached to that tiny frame of reality.
What is it to free ourselves
from the heaviness that sits in our tissues?
From the little prisons that we create?
How do we widen our seeing...
outside of the little thing we are focusing on?
What is the art that expands us?
The artistry of life...the art of cooking, the poetry of coaching,
the work of our hands, the aesthetics of relating...
The aesthetics as the return of our sensory knowledge.
The creative act,
that brings us closer to the immensity of creation
So we can work with the atmosphere of fear,
SO we can work for the culture,
and not get caught in our little traumas,
but
renovate them through our service.
WHAT IF THE SICKNESS LIES WITHIN THE ATMOSPHERE OF ISOLATION,
and the health we are seeking
is the relational web?
In community
In the work
In the song
In the dance
In the debate
In the service...
In the quality of communication we have,
with the land, self, and community.
After over 3 weeks of almost solid grey and rain,
the sun has returned
here on the lands we dwell.
The crystalline blue sky against the sharp depth of fertile green,
inspires.
We heard once that green is the colour of hope.
These cycles of forgetting and remembering are like that...
periods where it's grey, and deep, maybe narrow and stagnant or cozy within the cauldron of our own internal space.
Then suddenly the light shines in...and the corners of the inner landscape are illuminated and kissed by the warmth of the life giving sun.
The darkness we've dwelled in makes the caress of the sun that much more nourishing and magical.
This dance of life,
from one spectrum to the other, allows us to widen the appreciation for all the shades of living and being.
"There is a brokenness out of which comes the unbroken.
A shatteredness out of which blooms the unshatterable.
There is a sorrow beyond grief, which leads to joy and a fragility out of whose depths emerges strength.
There is a hollow space too vast for words through which we pass with each loss, out of whose darkness we are sanctioned into being.
There is a cry deeper than all sound, whose serrated edges cut the heart as we break open to the place which is unbreakable, and whole, while learning to sing." - Rashini Rea
May the sun shine upon you today xxx
Some words of inspiration today...
A poem that has been very present with us in these times...
"I would like to beg you, dear friend, as well as I can,
to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart
and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.
Don't search for the answers,
which could not be given to you now,
because you would not be able to live them.
And the point is,
to live everything.
Live the questions now.
Perhaps then, someday far in the future,
you will gradually, without even noticing it,
live your way into the answer."
-Rainer Maria Rilke
In this wild dance of the unknown, let us trust life-
trust the intelligence of the body and heart to show us the next footsteps xx
In a time where attention is a currency and our life-force is drawn into an endless field of information and story, maybe one of the ways that we can activate change within the culture, is by learning to
contain our energy.
Practicing containment, allows life force to circulate
and vibrate within us
Choosing to tether the attention - anchor, instead of fragment.
In that anchoring, rooting - presence...seeds of inspiration can nestle and germinate - instead of spilling the energy, the ideas, visions, and insights
INSTA-NTLY
diluting the force and potency.
Let's question this, and inquire: How do we keep nuance alive?
How can we continue to live in reverence for the incredible
unique poetry of our human-ness
amidst a culture that calls us forth at rapid speed, where the subtlety is lost?
How can we continue to nurture craft, study and LIVE a body of knowledge and experience so that our children sense that thread of inspiration and question the culture?
Maybe the quiet depth, the secret prayer and intention,
the hidden seeds of devotion
are creating more of a ripple into existence than we realise.
Maybe that private dialogue with life,
that whisper to the river, or our own heart
is weaving the web of reality,
just as much, if not more than the the incessant DOING, the control, the goals, the spilling of the energy.
True cultivation of depth, mastery, meaning, intimacy - takes time. Consistency.
Authenticity. Devotion.
Containment.
Practice.
Hello dear Community,
More of a personal share this week…
I share from a deep full heart, as Velan sits on the mountain in Colombia for his next cycle of Vision Quest.
His last 4 year Quest was over 10 years ago, and we've been walking this design even since, learning these ways with our teacher and supporting others who are resonant with this journey. And now, he has been called back to the mountain for the continuation of his own quest.
It is a dry prayer, an offering of thirst, of hunger, in silence and solitude…
to return to the origin, and listen.
In these times of comfort and over consumption,
these ways, these ancient designs, shared by the elders of tradition are
a balm for the thirty soul, longing for meaning and belonging.
These practices support us to remember again that
we are a part of the web of life,
all connected, all related and weaved through the pulse of creation itself.
"Earth, water, air, fire are weaving an umbilical web which synchronises humans with their surroundings. The earth vitalises humans with her fruits, and humans vitalise the earth with their rituals and sacrifices." — Fidel Sepúlveda Llanos
A Simple Practice of Gratitude
So today, I offer an invitation, to simply be present and
grateful for the clean water you drink.
Feel your feet and receive the support that is provided by
the earth body.
Acknowledge the great Fire of the Sun, that shines light and warmth and calls the seeds to rise into new life and nourishment.
Breathe in Life,
and be grateful today, for the simple gifts xx
Greetings to this Global Community xx
Thank you for being here.
It brings great inspiration to feel the invisible threads that we are weaving together through shared intentions, congruent vision and the willingness to inquire and grow.
In the volatility of the global movement, community in all the forms is a needed medicine...so thank you for being a part of this Onemovement.
We offer you a simple breath practice this week, to calm the nervous system, centre the awareness, and return to homeostasis.
-Find a comfortable seat...allow the spine to come into alignment.
Lie down if you prefer.
-Widen your hearing
-Close your eyes, soften the jaw, eyes, forehead, shoulders, belly...and receive gravity.
-Observe and allow the natural movement of breath to emerge - be with that experience for a few moments, calling your attention back to the simplicity of breath.
-On the next exhalation, slow down the breath and extend the exhale for 2 or 3 seconds longer than the inhale.
-Continue that process of breathing in naturally, slowly, deeply, without force or effort and allow the exhale to extend and lengthen.
-This simple form of breath extension recalibrates the nervous system, and offers a return to grounded presence.
Practice this breath experience for 10 minutes to shift your energy and Return.
It seems that we've entered a time of deep urgency and intensity.
A time of incessant noise, where the Fear thread
is weaved into so many aspects of the conversation.
War in so many points of the earth, depletion of resources, the insane elite running the show,
rising costs - of everything.
This all feels very urgent and intense within the landscape of the mind and nervous system, and it's pushing us collectively into reaction, worry, distraction, dis-embodiment, lack of ground.
And Yet..
Here we are...right HERE.
Find the breath.
We do have a choice, with where we place our attention.
Energy expands where attention goes.
We've been here before.
In slightly different shapes, and different times, but
we as humans know this pendulum swing.
Old rotten stories are being stripped away, creating space for the fertile ground of the new.
So for now, as often as you can,
today...
Pause. Feel.
Take 5 deeps breaths into the pool of your belly.
Soften your jaw, your shoulders.
Feel your feet upon the earth.
Receive gravity.
Widen your hearing, so you can receive the birdsong and the kiss of the wind.
Food for thought...
Some food for thought today...
In this moment of acceleration...
in the proliferation of Artificial Intelligence,
which calls our attention out of the body...
there is a great provocation.
There is a deep calling...
Hidden in the whisper of illness,
in the confusion,
in the overwhelm,
in the wrestle we have with ourselves...
what is the return to health?
Welcoming the great initiation,
we have all known was coming,
for many years,
and the courage to be transmuted to ash.
So the fertility of the great turning,
can tune our spirits to what is real.
What connects us?
What rumbling is required?
For the fortification of what is human...
What is the culture we choose to build?
In the dismantling of the old story...
See through the separating undercurrents and frequencies of the woundology that is informing culture...through dominance, guarding, protecting, and projecting.
So that brick
by brick,
we can build alliances and webs of health.
As the old system self combusts & fertilises simultaneously,
the new vision we are being called to walk.
And...Velan will be in Sydney this Friday March 27th-30th.
Write to us here if you'd like to book an in person Session.
Awaken your digestion with this practice...
When there is so much chaos in the outer field, we return to practice to align, listen and to cultivate a steady centre.
This week we're sharing a simple 6-minute morning practice designed to support digestion, regulate digestive Qi, and help the body move out of stagnation.
In Chinese medicine, digestion is not only about food. It's about the strength of your Spleen and Stomach Qi — your body’s ability to transform, transport, and assimilate nourishment. When this system is tense, stagnant, or depleted, digestion can slow down, energy can drop, and patterns like bloating, heaviness, or constipation can begin to build. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Spleen and Stomach are understood as central to transforming food into Qi and blood.
This is why restoring digestion is not just about what you eat. It is also about whether your belly can soften, whether your nervous system can come out of stress, and whether your body is in a state where it can actually receive and move nourishment. Modern physiology likewise recognises that the parasympathetic nervous system supports “rest and digest” functions, while stress can disrupt gut activity and worsen constipation patterns.
This posture works by inviting more softness, circulation, and internal movement through the abdomen and digestive organs. It helps the system shift out of holding and into flow.
With consistent practice, this can support:
• Bloating and abdominal tightness — by helping the belly soften and allowing the digestive organs to move and circulate more freely.
• Sluggish digestion and heaviness after eating — by stimulating the Stomach and Spleen Qi so food can be transformed and transported more efficiently.
• Constipation and irregular bowel movements — by restoring internal movement through the abdomen and supporting the descending function of digestive Qi.
• Gas and digestive stagnation — by encouraging circulation through the intestines so food and waste do not sit and ferment in the system.
• Low energy and afternoon fatigue — because in Chinese medicine your energy is built through digestion. When nutrients are better transformed and absorbed, the body produces more usable Qi.
This 6-minute practice begins to restore the internal conditions digestion needs to function well: relaxation, circulation, rhythm, and flow.
May we use the ancient wisdom to bring balance and adaptability in these times of transition.
This posture changed my life, and will for you too.
Are you tired or lacking energy, sexual vitality or experiencing sluggish digestion?
With this arm swing practice, with even 10 minutes a day you will feel improvements in your energy and health within a week. But build up to 20-30-50 minutes, and you'll feel a profound shift in your daily vitality.
Here are a few reasons to practise this....
The swinging action creates a gentle pumping of blood, lymph, and fluids throughout the body.
This improves:
* Blood circulation
* Lymphatic drainage
* Cellular oxygenation
In Chinese medicine this is often described as unblocking stagnation of Qi and Blood, which is seen as the root of many illness.
STRENGTHENS KIDNEY ENERGY (VITAL ESSENCE)
In Daoist physiology the Kidneys store Jing — our foundational vitality and longevity.
The backward swing lightly stimulates the lower back and kidney area, which:
* Activates the Kidney meridian
* Warms the Ming Men (Gate of Life)
* Supports vitality, endurance, and reproductive health.
This is why many traditions say the practice “nourishes the kidneys and replenishes life force.”
BUILDS LONGEVITY THROUGH SIMPLICITY
One of the reasons this is such an incredible practice is that it can be done:
* anywhere
* at any age
* for long periods
Small daily repetition gradually restores vitality without strain, which is why this practice is often included in longevity and Daoist health traditions.
Small acts, repeated daily become architecture, and this is the foundation for your life.
Together we find hope...
This past weekend we were blessed to witness the marriage of our dear friends.
It was a profound communal creation, and the beauty, depth and inspiration that emerged from the gathering was a hopeful reflection of what it means to celebrate love, LIFE and walking in community.
As we surfaced from the love portal, we received the global news of the last days...a profound reflection of the polarity that IS.
With all that we face collectively now, and all that has been throughout the course of time...
with the heartbreak, disillusionment and not knowing…
what makes sense to us in these times of chaos, is the Return.
A returning to a simple connection to the point of the earth we dwell upon.
To practice offering, reverence and gratitude to the forces of nature.
To cultivate harmony with ALL our RELATIONS…the water, plants, animals and those we walk this life with, near and far.
In this way, our dialogue with life as an anchored
clear vision of reciprocity and balance,
becomes a lived prayer for peace, respect, kindness.
We're inspired and hopeful as we co-create
spaces of living ritual in these times.
Spaces for Human connection, remembrance and simplicity.
Celebrating Life, love, and the courage to meet the complexity of this global reality that we are all facing.
Through these shared moments of depth and simplicity,
we remember a natural way of being.
Together.
Rest and Restore
As time seems to be speeding up, and the noise of the global landscape becomes more fragmented and confronting, we have been continually finding refuge in the space of practice.
For many years the yoga mat has been a safe haven, a place to meet the inner realms and Be with what is moving, emerging and alchemising within me.
It has been my Refuge of Returning, to that which is real and lived in the presence of Now. It is where reverence and connection is anchored and amplified.
This week we're sharing a very simple Restorative video practice with one of my favourite shapes of all time.
Here we re-calibrate, we drop into the textures and subtle currents of blood, breath and vital energy.
This simple shape supports us to integrate all that we are living. One simple and small act of an embodied solution for these times.
When we are well, and our health is thriving, we can be of service to this life through our gifts, our creativity, our presence
Small acts, repeated daily become architecture, and this is the foundation for your life.
Tidal Motion...
This week we're sharing a 6 minute video practice with a powerful posture: Tidal Motion.
A simple movement that supports digestion, awakens the organs, and gently reorganises your energy at the beginning of the day.
What makes these practices powerful is not the shape,
it’s the union of your attention and your feeling.
When attention becomes precise and we drop into feeling, a relationship begins to open.
Through the subtle dialogue between sensation and awareness, a relationship develops cellularly.
You begin to sense the quiet intelligence inside your tissues. The pulsation of the organs, the tidal movement of fluid through fascia, the way energy actually circulates or doesn’t (and feels empty or numb).
This is an internal conversation, and like all good relationships, it requires listening, attention and care.
Over time, this conversation becomes trust, and that trust reflects itself as warmth, vibration and an internal smile that awakens inside your body.
This form synthesises ancient knowledge, to build the health required for the times we are living in.
So we’re curious:
What is your practice?
What are you actually practicing each day? Really…
to meet the...
Reactivity? Scrolling? Tension? Relationship?
What is your relationship to energy...your own, and the field around you?
Try this:
After you make your bed…before you pick up your phone…
Give yourself six minutes. (Or longer :)
Small acts, repeated daily, become architecture.
We are in new terrain...
We are in new terrain globally. The monsters of samsara are manifested into reality, fed by the attention of the masses.
They harvest our presence and plant fear through imagery and repetition. Within all the incessant movement…
The human technology - blood, bone, breath the tentacular intelligence of our psyche, returns us to health.
We the human. We the river. The living flows of the fecund.
The code of the hand
that carries the lineage of all art, and
the secrets that are sowed through the one who makes.
The one who makes, writes, dances, sings…
reaps the gift of the Creator,
the health.
When we outsource the creative process, when AI starts to take away our sensing, our remembering, our writing, our way of finding, we damn the river of creativity. When the river is damned it affects the flow of life and a hollow sensation arrives, slowly over time, as the force of creation that longs to move through us has dried up, and health wanes.
Instinct atrophies.
Attention thins.
Human somatic technology dwindles.
The danger here is that humans forget how to FEEL the current moving through.
The health is so close to us.
In the breath that returns the fractured attention.
In the warmth and care we feel in the eyes of the other.
The faith we find in the mirror of the earth. The stories we create within our relational web. The hope we find in the green of the trees that dance in the forest.
This is a time of fortification, to break the couch culture as the provocation of the global hypocrisy calls us firmly to Return...
To imagine. To work. To connect and believe...in the visions we tend to in the secrets of our hearts.
Return to the art
Return to innovation
Return to community
Return to thinking well
Return to the land
Return to our bodies
We are all gatekeepers of the secrets of the human technology.
The faith in humanity is found in the eyes,
in the movement of community, in the hands of those that use the provocation of the current world reality, to create art.
So, what are we creating, making, singing, weaving, shaping or imagining?
What aesthetic do we choose to bring forth into the world?
Understanding that the secrets, the power, the ethical code is imbued in the way we place an object, the words we use and our silent dialogue with life.
As we listen, & situate ourselves upon the land, within community and how we relate to our self and other, we create an imprint.
This is a time of the return to sensibility, as activism...as a response to the distraction and dilution of the poetry of life. It is a way of knowing through our senses, through listening, feeling with our bodies....everything is telling a story, so how do you read?
There is a tendency to feel doom & destruction when we only look through the lens of the news & social media these days.
But can we dare to see LIFE at the centre?
Tenderness is activism,
as we return to the origin or art.
Maybe all great art is birthed from adversity.
How do we bring concepts into the body and experience them,
so they don't remain ideas only in the head?
This time is an invitation to renew the way we live.
To renew our ways of learning and seeing.
In this moment of time,
faith, hope & joy are fortified through strengthening the relational web.
We are all related, through the interconnection with all that is living.
It’s rarely the big dramatic moments
that shape a relationship.
It's the small daily crossroads...
it's where we either:
turn toward or turn away,
soften or stay braced,
connect or stay in our own world.
No one gets it right all the time.
We’re human.
We get
tired, distracted, overwhelmed.
But the quality of a relationship
is built on these ordinary choices —
especially when we don’t feel like it.
This week, don’t aim to be perfect.
Just notice the moments where you could turn a little more
toward connection.
Ask one more question.
Take one deeper breath before responding.
Let one small thing go.
Offer another long moment of real presence.
These are the quiet movements
that build trust, safety,
and intimacy over time.
Some tools...
Create space to share and listen vs...“I’m busy,”
only talking about your problems,
not asking how their day was
or what’s alive for them.
Turn off at the end of the day —
Turn on some music, enjoy cooking,
slow down, take in the simple pleasures
vs.
talking about work late into the night,
focusing on what’s unfinished, buzzing
and unable to land in presence.
Repair small tensions before they grow,
Instead of...
letting things slide, going quiet,
going to sleep on your wrath,
carrying subtle resentment,
and pretending everything is “fine.”
Make a choice
to tend to the subtle rifts
and clear the space
so that there is safety and trust
as the base of your togetherness.
Small shifts. Big impact.
Brothers,
Here’s what I’ve come to trust through lived experience:
When your relationship is in healthy dialogue and intimacy,
your whole life unlocks.
Focus returns.
Purpose sharpens.
Service becomes clear.
Because relationship isn’t separate from life —
it’s the pillar your life stands on.
Most men weren’t trained for intimacy.
We were trained to endure… hold it together… push through.
But devotion doesn’t come from force.
It comes from presence.
The breakdown rarely starts with the big thing —
it starts with reactivity:
body tightens, mind defends, heart closes.
Suddenly you’re not meeting your partner…
you’re meeting a threat.
This is the shift:
Not “you did this.”
But “this is what’s happening in me.”
That’s strength without armour.
That’s the art of relationship — to see what is mine under the reaction.
Add true listening (not rebuttal),
honour the tides of closeness and restoration,
and you’ll see conflict differently —
not as failure…
…but as the doorway to deeper intimacy,
when handled consciously.
Imperialism doesn’t only invade countries.
It invades the nervous system.
When the body loses its capacity to listen,
it also loses its capacity to respond.
Not react.
Respond.
We become binary.
Rigid.
Fast.
Certain.
This is how domination works.
Not only through armies and economics—
but through narrowed perception.
When the nervous system collapses:
• timing is lost
• nuance disappears
• flirtation with difference becomes threat
• rhythm becomes force
And force is the language of empire.
Right now—globally—we are watching this play out.
USA. Venezuela. Iran.
Power. Control. Extraction.
Old patterns replaying through new headlines.
But here is the part rarely spoken:
If our bodies cannot tolerate discomfort, difference, and ambiguity—
we will unconsciously reproduce the very systems we oppose.
This is why practice matters.
Not spiritual bypass.
Not moral positioning.
Somatic literacy.
We need practices that:
• expand our capacity for diversity
• train us to move with different rhythms
• restore articulation and timing
• teach us how to stay present when tension rises
• create new neural and relational pathways
A body that can:
pause instead of dominate,
listen instead of polarise,
adapt instead of harden,
stay curious instead of righteous…
is free.
It is a body that cannot be easily weaponised.
The future will not be shaped by louder opinions.
It will be shaped by nervous systems that can hold complexity without collapsing.
Start there.
With your breath.
With your timing.
With how you listen
when it would be easier to attack or withdraw.
That is where new worlds begin.
This is why we practice.
This is why we train the body.
This is why relationships are political.
We are grateful you’re here with us,
as part of this Onemovement community.
As we meet the intensity of these times,
and the continual global, political
and cultural upheaval,
we too are all being dismantled,
peeled back, exposed –
raw and wide open…to what’s next?
And yet through this portal of depth and unknown,
we as a collective
are in a process of transmutation…
A process that fosters truth speaking, fierce loving
and generosity of spirit.
We’re walking through the
gateways of these global initiations together,
as a collective rebirthing.
This global chaos allows us to
anchor more deeply
into what is here in front of us,
inviting us to explore
what can be shared within community,
that is of value.
Can we each individually realise
the potency of our unique thread
in the collective weaving?
What practices
and ways of being
build trust
and hopeful vision
for a new way?
What fortifies strong alliances?
How can we create and move the challenges
of this collective confusion
through us
as art and service?
KNOW that you are not alone.
Community is the foundation
for renewed hope,
innovative solutions
and clarity of vision.
Thank you for your presence here.
With the shift into the new cycle upon us, we’ve been pondering…
What is it to renew?
To let go…
To surrender to what is…
To challenge the old frameworks of seeing and perceiving…
What is the art of living?
How can we open more fully to participate in that which is
here to be met and lived..
Individually and collectively?
Sometimes only drastic change can catalyze the new sight, the broader vision, the pivot into a new direction…
or a refinement of the old.
And yet, maybe simply opening to the gift of now,
reveals the infinite possibility.
New doorways…an innovative approach.
To embrace the guidance and clarity that is activated when we become spacious, present, when we listen and obey the natural rhythm…
this reveals the path forward.
There is a choice.
To be here.
To greet and welcome what is.
To meet it, to feel, to not turn away…
and let the fire of life, regenerate the new seeds.
Returning us to the vital force, the original song,
the natural way of being.
In this way, let us greet this new cycle with a deeper commitment to nurturing and fortifying health, presence, and that which is real,
that which is beautifully Human.
There is often grief underneath the aggression.
What we meet on the surface—
the sharp words,
the reactivity,
the need to correct,
defend,
explain—
is rarely the whole story.
Most of us were never taught how to listen beneath the reaction. We learned how to respond quickly. How to hold our position. How to stay upright in the face of a threat.
But what if the doorway is not in speaking at all?
What if, instead of engaging, correcting, or sharing our opinion, we spent time listening through the body?
Listening to the tightening of the vocal cords. The holding in the belly. The contraction in the jaw. The places that brace before words ever form.
When we slow down enough to feel these signals, something profound becomes available.
We begin to recognise that what looks like aggression on the surface is often grief that has nowhere to land. What looks like control is often fear, dressed in armour. What looks like certainty is often a knee-jerk protection— not a truth to be argued with, but a tenderness asking to be met.
The challenge is not understanding this intellectually. The challenge is learning how to contain our energy long enough to not spill our opinion, to not collapse or dominate, to stay present in the still point.
From this place, new pathways begin to emerge. Not forced. Not strategised. But sensed.
Guidance comes through the body. Through breath, weight, timing. Through the quiet intelligence that knows how to move toward what connects, rather than what fragments.
This kind of listening changes the way we meet each other. It changes how conflict moves. It changes how intimacy is restored. It changes how we direct our energy— into webs that nourish life, work that supports the body, and relationships aligned with the Earth we belong to.
This is the work of these times. Not louder opinions. Deeper listening.
As we feel into the global moment, and as the old systems crumble…
The separation story is alive.
Many of us are feeling the depth of the chaos…
the confusion…
as we witness the expression of the
reactive pain-body of collective misunderstanding,
showing up in different points of the earth.
Somehow the chaos of the storm,
the violence,
the injustice,
the insanity
embedded within the forces of control,
the disrespect for the health of the earth,
all call us back to the Centre.
Exploring what it means to inhabit the Centre has been the cornerstone of our exploration for decades.
Through breath,
sensation and
awareness
we cultivate
an inner movement.
We fortify a return to the safe haven of grounded presence within the body...
so we can tend to our self, family & community with health.
Sometimes the greatest activism starts within ourselves and tending to the relationships within our communities.
In this we learn how to take skillful action,
not reacting to projection and blame
and to walk a good path, a kind path, a dignified walk.
We are activists through the thousands of kind actions, through the thousands of times we hold centre
instead of blaming, gossiping, reacting or dumping onto the other.
Richard Strozzi Heckler says…
“Finding Center isn’t absent of difficulty, but awareness and regulation in the midst of it.
Through centering we feel our connection to others and the world—our width—and our own depth of support and lineage.”
From that anchor point of finding Centre within the storm, we are more equipped to feel, respond and engage with reality from a widened sight, a breadth of compassion and a clear inquiry of…
how can we be a part of the solution?
In this way we may be able to genuinely integrate all that we face through this human experience, and transform the suffering into art, clarity, service and wisdom.
Here’s a short wake-up practice to fortify the organs, activate energy flow, and gently switch on your subtle energetic intelligence.
Rather than pushing the physical body into motion, this practice begins by meeting the current beneath the movement. By slowing down and bridging awareness with feeling, you create an active dialogue with the energy body itself.
This is about listening more accurately.
This simple practice invites circulation through the organs, clears stagnant charge, and brings you into a quiet, awake relationship with your inner field before the world arrives.
A powerful, short practice to activate your human energy body and set the tone for the day.
The Wild Waves of Life, that call us into growth.
It seems that life has been pushing and pulling us all...
everywhere we look,
and when we Feel one-another,
there is a strong call to Rise into the next layer of awareness,
self responsibility
and to wake up out of the sleepiness.
There is an invitation to reclaim a committed and enchanted dialogue with life.
If you think about where you've come from,
and where you are now,
most of us can probably name that the greatest moments of growth
and evolution arose from the intensity,
the challenge,
the pain,
the confusion...the not knowing.
And the inquiry is...
What is preventing us, in this moment,
from saying YES to the
Wild and truthful invitation of life to strip us back?
Are we willing to shed,
to empty,
to release
and to truthfully greet the opening that the intensity beckons?
So why not say YES now?
Let's fall into that wild and poetic willingness to ride the pulse of life and GROW.
Together,
and alone,
this is our birthright...
to wake up out of the narrow frames of reality and the conditioned limiting beliefs,
and open to the possibility of THRIVING.
In our bodies, our hearts, our minds.
We're riding the waves with you...
And also, are here to support you, if you so feel called.
Returning to Each Other
In the journey of a long term relationship, resentment, misunderstanding and projection become amplified in our dynamics...when there is no space to diffuse them. The truth is, it is a constant work to fortify the aliveness of real connection, which ultimately nourishes all areas of life.
Over the years we have cultivated tools and designs that support a healthy return from conflict, and a deepening of intimacy, trust and safety.
In this video we share deeper about the simple sharing practice as one of the foundations that we work with to clear resentment and to create space for the emergence of healing and understanding.
Over many years of working with this form of sharing, we have found that we know each other's nuances and deeper layers of vulnerability, and this ultimately supports the love to widen, expand and flower.
Use this video to support a thriving relationship xx
Each obstacle is an invitation to evolve
As the pulse of the global climate becomes stranger and more cacophonous by the day, we too as individuals may be feeling those sharp edges of intensity.
The noise is loud.
Collectively there is an incessant f r a g m e n t a t i o n of attention by the forces of
social media and beyond.
Maybe the distraction is one of the biggest challenges we face right now.
As it appears to be one of the main forces that
drains our essence
dims our creativity
shadows true seeing
f r a c t u r e s the capacity for intimacy
waters down our authenticity.
Inquiry
We're still exploring a healthy balance with what it looks like.
To stay in tune with what is happening on the earth and choosing how we
direct
share
and express our precious energy.
What does it look like for you
to stand in a radically honest perspective of how you are spending your energy?
What does it feel like to anchor in a healthy boundary with your
phone
social media
media in general
stories of the other
and use the tools that are here in a way that elevates your life force and your gifts to this world?
How can you nourish ways of being that amplify your attentive presence to the life you are living and co-creating?
Food for thought.
We too are finding our way through this new landscape of a rapidly changing world.
Feet on the earth.
Breath.
Listening.
Reflections from the past week
Recently we have been sitting with the journey of aging... the changing form and the effect of media and mainstream culture on the perception of beauty, strength, and the imprint that "youth is power."
We recently saw a quote that said "Aging is a disease." Humanity finds itself reaching beyond the natural rhythm of life — even seeking to suspend the sacred cycle of aging.
True longevity, as held in ancient traditions, is not about defying time but deepening harmony with it.
These wisdom lineages teach us how to sustain vitality, presence, and grace as part of a greater unfolding. Yet the modern pursuit of “anti-aging” feels different — a path of conquering rather than communing with nature, an attempt to override the organic dance of creation itself.
Our Insights
The natural process of aging is reflected in the beauty of nature.
The leaves that fall to the earth become the fuel for the seed,
the fruit and the flower.
As a part of that nature, being on a human journey requires us to let go,
to shift
and evolve with the seasons of life
and to eventually fall back into the earth.
It is lived reciprocity.
Maybe the impermanence is also the gift of life...as it allows us to receive the precious moment and to honour the cycles of living. Maybe aging and the withering form has teachings that cannot be known until they are lived.
Maybe those teachings are seeds of wisdom and understanding, that can prepare us for living well, and dying well.
Practise - Standing Meditation
Recognize that you are a part of nature. And that the changing form has immense beauty...raw, real, true, alive...a reflection of time...a mirror of life lived.
Anchor your feet upon the earth,
ground your roots into the earth body,
and with your exhale, soften...
allow the pull of gravity to draw the tension out of your being.
Merge with the earth and BE.
